In a Tidepool

At Schoodic Point in Maine when the tide goes out, there are wonderful tidepools that you can peer through clear water to see.  The rockweed gardens in these tidepools are the home of periwinkles, mussels, barnacles, and a whole host of other sea creatures.  I painted this tidepool closeup when we were volunteering for the SEA Program at Acadia National Park.
